Who is Jade Dominique?

She is a cyber girl from the 90's game DigiPixel Dressup who escaped to bring good vibes, and fun to her players. In her original game, she was a jock, but now a nerdy cosplayer, fanartist, and fanfic reader in her down time.

Jade is my mascot, and one of my oooooldest personas! I created her in middle school to be a confident, outgoing, sporty, and exciting version of myself that I hoped to grow up to be. I still wish to be her as an adult haha...

As a vtuber I've given her different lore to her original form, consider this an AU of sorts.

In the early 90's a graphic designer who lived on Peachtree street, started his own sign business, and spent $3000 in 1990's money to purchase a top of the line personal computer for it. On that computer was the trial of DigiPixel Dressup, a doll maker and visual novel that featured Jade, and her friends. The man decided to mess around with the code for fun, starting a save file for Jade, and awakening her on August 18th. Since that day, she spent her time online running in the background of his computer, there for every work project, computer upgrade, and photo album upload to his PC.

At the start of the new millenium, the PC recieved a major upgrade: a new operating system, and a webcam! Jade could finally see into the outside world in real time, and saw the man with a wedding ring on his hand, and a toddler in his arm as he worked endlessly in his office. The little girl played Digipixel Dressup with Jade for years, and later with her new little brother. Jade grew to love this family she considered her own, but never ever directly communicated with them.

Jade couldn't remember when, but the kids played on the computer less and less. She saw that the man was older now, and his face wasn't as bright as before. Why was he so sad? Then one day, in 2017, the PC powered down. Jade was in the dark for years. This was the end, she was sure.

Until, February 2023. The ancient PC was rebooted once more, and Jade peered through the webcam to see the man again. Surely he was doing better now, shouldn't his kids be adults now? How was his wife? Was he a grandfather?! She was so excited to see him again

On the other side of the computer was his daughter. Her face looked as miserable as her father's. She was grieving.

Jade reached out through notepad to communicate with his daughter. She found out that her name was Shay, and Shay transfered Jade to a newer PC. Together they stream, with Jade being the face of the stream, and Shay being the voice. They fight their mutual grief together, through art, good times, and video games even though Shay sucks at them.
